I used to live in Long Beach and have since moved to central CA. I have had many encounters with the supernatural. In one, my best friend and I were in the garage spray painting the inside of the drive door(we were 16) and could hear someone walking up the concrete walkway. It sounded exactly like my dad's footsteps. We thought we were going to get in trouble. When we looked out the door to see who it was, there was no one there. Many years later he died. Three days after he died of cancer, he could be heard yelling at me to, `Get up! You're going to be late for work!`, I was in my early 20's at the time.


Once when I was half asleep I looked at the side of my bed and saw a frightening figure. It looked deformed. I closed my eyes and waited, when I opened them it was gone.


One time while re-wallpapering an old lady's bedroom while she was in the hospital, I felt someone behind me looking over my shoulder. As I was alone in the house it made me very nervous and I left. Later that night my mom told me the lady had passed away in the hospital. I told her what had happened and she said, `she must have wanted to see her house`. I have had many experiences like this, some in LB and some where I live now. Are some of us more open to these manifestations, or are we just more aware of other realms? Maybe our perceptions are just more enhanced, who knows?
